We're celebrating 50 years of Wilsong!  Incredibly, 2023 is the Golden Anniversary of when Tom, Chris and Steve made their first, tentative foray into group singing. Mike joined in once his voice broke and he could get into the pub. Now the the foremost proponents in the country of traditional harmony singing, their repertoire is rich with songs from Teeside and the North East. They famously joined Sting in New York for his production The Last Ship, have performed at the BBC Proms, and are holders of the prestigious EFDSS Gold Badge Award.

 

As festival patrons, we could not have asked for better. They champion the festival wherever they go, and make a huge contribution to the event every year. We missed them terribly when they were unable to be here last year due to a prior booking - no doubt they'll be making up for it in songs (and pints) this year!
