Heather Wood

Heather is from Easington Colliery and was one of the women responsible for the cafe that fed miners and their families during the Strike. She is a powerful and indomitable force in her community, and will be contributing to our Bold Miners Celebration on Sunday as well as taking part in panel discussions. She published her fascinating memoire, Just A Pit Lass, earlier this year, and will give a reading during the festival.
