Tyne Tees variety show with Bertie Draycott, Tim Healy, Benny Graham, Pegleg Ferret and more. A lighthearted celebration of the music of Tyneside, particularly its mining communities.

 

Sounds of Britain explored regional music in a workingman's club-style atmosphere, with a live audience and local talent. It provides a wonderful glimpse into 1970s British popular culture. An episode from the same series as 'Makkers and Takkers', which we showed last year.
