The National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool is our main festival site.

In addition to a variety of smaller-scale spaces at the NMRN for workshops, talks and intimate concerts, we have two comfortable function rooms, The William Gray Suite and the Baltic Rooms, for mid-scale concerts. Both have bars.

HMS Trincomalee contains two spaces for performance: the Captain’s Cabin for concerts, and the Mess Deck for more relaxed events. There’s also lots to explore on site, and loads of space for dance and outdoor performance.

Mainstage concerts take place at the Borough Hall, a 10-minute ride away.

After only 2 years, we’ve outgrown the Town Hall Theatre! But we’re very lucky that Hartlepool Borough Council has made the much larger Borough Hall available as our Mainstage venue. While the Town Hall Theatre was a 10 minute walk from the Historic Quay, the Borough Hall is a 10 minute ride. Events at the NMRN will finish at 5pm, with the evening concert on the Headland starting at 7:30 – grab a bite and make your way over in your own time. There’s loads of space at the Borough Hall, so no need for long queuing. We’ll have a dedicated coach service taking visitors to and from the Headland concerts. In addition, public buses leave every 10 minutes from right outside the Historic Quay and stop  outside the Borough Hall.  There is also lots of free parking around the Borough Hall for those who choose to drive.

After our first festival, many people said they’d miss the atmosphere and great pubs at the Headland, so this is an opportunity for us to bring them back on board with extra activities, such as music sessions and morris dancing, alongside great real ales and homemade food.
