Joining Instructions and additional information

Below you’ll find some useful information about wristbands, tickets and the venues. We can’t wait to see you in Hartlepool!

Tickets

We have two Box Office locations this year. From 12pm – 4:30pm Friday, and 10am – 4:30pm Saturday and Sunday, Box Office is located in the Gift Shop at the entrance of the National Museum of the Royal Navy, Maritime Ave, Hartlepool TS24 0XZ. From 5:30 – 7:30pm each evening, Box Office is located in the foyer of the Borough Hall, Middlegate, Hartlepool TS24 0JD. Exchange your ticket receipt for wristbands or event tickets at either location. If you have purchased advance tickets for individual events, you MUST exchange your receipt for an event ticket at the Box Office.

Event Admissions Policy

Doors open approximately 30 minutes before events start. Day and weekend tickets grant, but do not guarantee, admission to any festival event. The exception is the Borough Hall, where all ticketholders can be comfortably accommodated. For events at the NMRN where individual tickets have been pre-sold, event ticket-holders will be asked to queue separately, and when doors open (up to 30 minutes before the show) they will be admitted to the venue at the same time as Day and Weekend ticket-holders. This is to ensure that everyone holding an advance event ticket may be accommodated.

Individual events: Please check venues and start times against the Festival Programme on the Website, and against any programme change notifications at Box Office. Occasionally changes do occur in the programming process. Also, please be aware that the header for ONLINE ticket receipts shows the start time of the whole festival, rather than for your event. This is an anomaly of our ticketing partner’s system. The details of your actual event are further down the page.

Caravans/Campervans

Caravan parking is to the left of the Maritime Experience as you drive into the car park – stewards will direct you. There are portaloos, a non-potable water point, and a sanitation point for disposing of waste. The Fire Point is next to the portaloos, where you’ll find a fire bucket and extinguisher. Please practice good caravanning safety and keep your own fire bucket near the entrance of your vehicle. There is overnight security in the campervan area.

If you’ve booked a caravan spot, your Caravan Pass will be collected with your festival wristbands. Staff will take note of your vehicle reg. Please display your pass in the window of your vehicle for the duration of your stay.

Parking for Cars Accompanying Caravans

The dedicated space for caravans and motorhomes is limited. Once your caravan is pitched, please move your car to the main carpark area. This allows us to keep all of the caravans and motorhomes as close together as possible, which makes them easier to monitor by our overnight security officers. The main parking site is very close to the dedicated hardstanding area. If you park next to your caravan, you’ll be asked by stewards to move your car.

Parking and Getting Around

There is substantial free parking on the NMRN site, as well as in the area surrounding the Borough Hall.

The Festival is operating a shuttle bus service to take visitors to and from events at the Borough Hall. Bus times are as follows:

5 – 7:30 pm: continuous shuttle to the Headland. The bus will pick up from the front of the NMRN, and stop immediately outside the Borough Hall. The journey time is approximately 6 minutes. If you need to eat or feel like changing for the evening, you might want to avoid the 5pm bottleneck by doing those things and catching a slightly later bus.

From Evening Concert finish time at the Borough Hall (around 11pm), for an hour and a half afterwards: continuous shuttle back to the carpark at the NMRN.

Accessibility

We were not able to source a fully wheelchair-accessible shuttle coach with the capacity we required; if you are a disabled visitor who cannot use standard coaches, please let us know your requirements in advance so that we can make alternative arrangements for you. Apart from this, both venues are completely accessible. If you require a carer’s ticket, please let us know in advance.

Indoor Camping

Indoor Camping takes place at the Presbytery House, Middlegate, Hartlepool TS24 0JD. Access is controlled by keyholders. There are showers on site. The public bus stopping outside the Borough Hall runs every 10 minutes to the NMRN site. Indoor Camping is currently full.

Food and Drink

There will be food and drink (including local real ales) available on the NMRN site. There are also convenient food and drink outlets nearby, and a large supermarket across the road.

The Headland has some great pubs, several of which serve food. We’ve marked a few on the programme map for your convenience. We’ll be serving local real ales and pies from our local farm shop throughout the evening concerts at the Borough Hall. There is also a substantial venue bar.
